Em português: Em Outubro de 2009, o CELADE, juntamente com a Divisão de População do Departamento de Assuntos Económicos e Sociais das Nações Unidas e no contexto do projecto de Contas de Transferências Nacionais, organizou uma reunião de peritos na qual certos representantes governamentais, em particular dos cinco países participantes no o projeto, bem como os de diferentes organizações regionais e internacionais, analisaram as consequências do envelhecimento da população no crescimento económico e na sustentabilidade dos sistemas de transferência latino-americanos, utilizando informações produzidas na primeira fase do projeto. Este volume apresenta uma seleção de artigos ali apresentados, incluindo trabalhos dos professores Ronald Lee e Andrew Mason, bem como de equipes nacionais de cada um dos países participantes do projeto.

Em inglês: In October 2009 CELADE, together with the Population Division of the United Nations Departament of Economic and Social Affairs and in the context of the National Transfer Accounts projetc, organised a meeting of experts in which certain government representatives, in particular from the five countries participating in the project, as well as those from different regional ad international organisations, analyzed the consequences of population ageing on economic growth and the sustainability of Latim American transfer systems using information produced in the first phase of the project. This volume presents a seletion of articles that were presented there, including work by professors Ronald Lee and Andrew Mason, as well as and national teams in each of the countries participating in the project.
